An event I saw on the road that gave me a different thought like the experience that happened under a peepal tree for Buddha!!! One fine morning, I saw some government school students standing there on the roadside and I took them to school in my vehicle and I was very upset to see the school environment. It seemed as if he himself had advised me why we should not spend money on this school for the work of placing the statue of Sir and it brought a big impact in my life to begin the great service, KALAM VISION 2020. When people around me started giving their concerns for the environment, but my spouse Mrs. Lavanya was the one who encouraged me with her great support by offering the jewellery so that I could do generously for the wellbeing of the school.
Then as individuals, people around me told me that it was not possible, it was not necessary, it was a waste of time and cost. I felt that they did the best they could which even sparked me to focus more on my vision. We appealed to the education department to open the statue of Kalam sir and with their consultation, I kept the statue along with Ambedkar Sir thereby representing the sport in the school. Then everyone started praising me a lot as there was none to open a statue for Ambedkar Sir in that village and there have been many struggles for it for the past 54 years. I do not know initially but I have established that the village representing a symbol of immortality till date.
Later, with the help of a media friend, the event was highlighted in the headlines of the Ananda Vikatan newspaper which gives a strong motivation for both of us to travel more miles.
